Ganesh Chaturthi 2015

Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, the fourth day of waxing moon in the Indian month of Bhadrapad, is celebrated throughout the country as Ganesh Chaturthi. It is recognized as the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the son of Shiva and Parvati.

Before the commencement of any work, religious or material, Lord Ganesh is invariably invoked first, as he is considered the remover of all obstacles and the Lord of beginnings. He is patron of arts and sciences and the deity who presides over intellect and wisdom. He has two consorts namely Riddhi (highest material luxuries) and Siddhi (highest spiritual magnificence). Hence, Lord Ganapati is the bestower of both material and spiritual excellence. His two sons Shubh (auspicious) and Labh (gain) depict that the one who worships the Lord gains whatever he wishes and only auspicious things happen in his life.

It is to appease Lord Ganesh and acquire the above mentioned merits that a devotee invites the Lord to his abode on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi and installs his statue. He then worships him with entire family and offers him delicious food, sweetmeats, fresh fruits, laddus etc. daily, for the next eleven days. Then on the eleventh day which is called Anant Chaturdashi, the Lord is taken with a grand procession of devotees only to a lake, river or sea and immersed in it, amidst devotional singing. Everyone bows to the lord one feeling- O Lord! Take away all my sorrows, remove all obstacles of my life and give me prosperity, wisdom, good health and devotion. O Lord fulfills all my wishes. Return to your abode in Kailash and dwell there until we invoke you through our devotion the next year.

Ganesh Chaturthi is praised in all the scriptures. Most of them are of the opinion that a person who worships Lord Ganesh during these eleven days certainly realizes all his desires. Sickness, poverty, paucity, sorrows, planetary affliction and sorts of negative influences are removed by worshipping Lord Ganesh during this period.
Pujya Sadgurudev has decided to celebrate this event once again in Baglamukhi Peeth, Rishikesh from 17th Sep – 27th Sep 2015. All devotees, Sadhaks, and aspirants who wish for a bright future and sorrow free life, those who want overall happiness, prosperity, health, name, and fame in life should come and be a part of this mega festival.
It has been said in the scriptures –
Kalau Chandi Vinayako
In this present age in Kaliyug, only the worship of Chandi (Mother Goddess) and Lord Ganesh renders the quickest result. Besides when a great soul and a unique enlightened master of Siddhashram like Pujya Sadgurudev Rahuleshwaranandji is presiding over this festival then the wishes of all the devotees and participants will be certainly realized.
